When I first began seeing Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon, I had constant pain in my joints and muscles which included my knee, ankle, elbow, wrist, fingers, arm and many other areas. These symptoms had bothered me for years. I was not able to squeeze my hand tightly and even had difficulties climbing up the stairs. On top of that, I was always feeling fatigued throughout the day. Within 2 months of seeing the doctors, my joint and muscle symptoms had improved. I can finally raise my leg and climb up the stairs without any problem. My fingers finally can touch my palm without pain. Since going on the food diet for 2 weeks, I feel calmer mentally and my fatigue has improved. By knowing how to choose the best food for myself, I am getting healthier by losing weight from 157 lbs. to 147 lbs.! I have more energy now and I am pleased with the results that I have received at the Dubner Family Chiropractic Center.
What brought me to Dubner Chiropractic was the extreme pain in my hands, legs, and most of my joints due to my rheumatoid arthritis. It got to the point where it was so severe in the winter time, I could not go outside. I went to see a doctor who specialized in rheumatoid arthritis and he prescribed me numerous heavy drugs with tons of side affects. I was taking up to 30 pills a day. I wanted to stop taking the drugs so it would not cause any permanent damage to my body. After 3 months of care with Dr. Sharon and Dr. Allen, my pain is almost completely gone, and I am no longer on any medications. My emotional state is much more balanced, and I no longer have to stress about the pain I was having. I was so amazed when the pain went away; I have so much more energy and am happier all around. The doctors are so loving and caring with their patients; I would definitely recommend this care to everyone.
For the past 9 months, I couldn’t make a fist or close my fingers. My medical doctor said he could not help me with what he said was arthritic hands. Because of high blood pressure, the medical doctor had me on high blood pressure medications. The high blood pressure meds had side effects of heaviness in my head. Because of insomnia and the fatigue it caused, I would run around like a zombie because I didn’t have any energy to do basic things.
I started seeing Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon in October 2010. On the 9th day of treatment, I could close my left hand again and make a fist! Two days later, I could close my right hand! I’m sleeping much better now and get 6 hours of sleep a day, sometimes 6 ½ or even 7. It’s fabulous! Very quickly after starting care with the Dubners, my high blood pressure dropped so much that my medical doctor greatly decreased the blood pressure medication I had been on. The side effect from the pills of “heavy head” went away when I stopped the meds. Also I no longer have sugar cravings, and the Drs. Dubner taught me how to eat more healthfully.

I have now been seeing the Dubners for about 7 months and I am so happy that I made the decision to make my health a number one priority. I had suffered with many symptoms relating to Fibromyalgia for at least 2 years. I had limited mobility and stamina, I couldn’t do anything that I enjoyed doing; just functioning through the day was enough! The most fantastic of my changes is I have use of my thumb again and my reach has improved, I can now scratch my back!!! I also no longer have to wear a wrist brace. My mobility has increased in my neck; I can look over my shoulder, something that I couldn’t previously do! My body is learning to work right again!! I feel a wonderful sense of achievement in my health and I owe that to the Dubners gentle adjustment technique. I have done something just for me, for my health. The results are fantastic and I feel so much better about life!
Before coming to the Dubners, I had developed a lot of neck pain from an injury. I had pain down my arm and sciatic pain. I also got sick all the time and would spend 3 weeks to a month in bed every winter with the flu and colds. Physical therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxants and sedatives from the medical Doctors did not improve my symptoms. After the first couple of adjustment sessions with the Dubners, I felt an ease in my body I haven’t had for a long time. Since then my arm and sciatic pain are gone. Instead of being constantly sick with flu’s and colds this winter, I was hardly sick and didn’t take any antibiotics. I’ve now also said goodbye to muscle relaxants and painkillers! Their office is a positive experience and no matter what your problem, I feel you can benefit greatly from their care.
I have been going to the Dubners since 1994. I first came to the office because I started experiencing numbness in my hands. It took only six months of treatment to be rid of the numbness. It has now been 10 years and the numbness has never returned. In 2004, I began to experience pain in my right ovary and the right side of my lower back. It ws extremely painful and would come and go. I couldn’t sit down for long periods of time. My medical doctor gave me an ovarian ultrasound and a colonoscopy, but found nothing to explain the pain. Within 2 weeks of Chiropractic treatment, the pain in my ovary and lower back is now 95% gone. I always look forward to my visits at Dubner Chiropractic Center. The staff is so friendly and the office has such a positive atmosphere.
I attended a talk that the Doctor Dubners did at East West Bookstore and decided to come and see them for a muscle knot in my neck the size of a golf ball, plus pain in my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands due to a work injury two years earlier. I had seen a physical therapist, a regular chiropractor, did myofacial massage, ultra-sound therapy, and electrotherapy. I took anti-inflammation medication, muscle relaxers, and pain killers -with no results. It has been a year now since I’ve come to see the Dubners and “suffering” is no longer a part of life. Within 3 days of starting treatment, the muscle knot decreased and is now almost gone. The pain in my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands hardly bothers me. I sleep better and feel less mental stress. I was a basket case when I first came to Dubner Family Chiropractic. I was suffering with plantar fascitis. I had it first on one foot and by the time I came to Dr. Sharon and Dr. Allen, I had it on both feet. I had tried cortisone shots and a cast on my foot. This was temporary relief. I was also having trouble with tendonitis in my right arm and severe neck pain. There was a ringing in my ear and I was having hot flashes. Plus I wasn’t sleepingvery well at night. Being a nurse and on my feet all day long was very difficult for me. I really didn’t know what I was going to do. I couldn’t even go to the store for more then a few minutes at a time. I had difficulty even walking to the end of the block. My energy level was so low. The doctor’s thought it was my thyroid and it turned out to be my adrenals. The adrenals were weak from all the cortisone shots I had received. I am Plantar Fasciitis free now. I have no problem with standing for long periods of time. I hope to be enjoying walking and bicycling again soon! Dr. Sharon had been working on my Adrenals and my energy level is wonderful. The pain in my arm and neck is all gone. The ringing in my ear has disappeared and so did the hot flashes. I am sleeping much better at night. The stress in my life doesn’t get to me. I tend to be a perfectionist and now I can let things go. I would recommend Dubner Family Chiropractic to everyone. I can’t tell you how much the positive reinforcement from both Dr. Sharon and Dr. Allen has meant to me. I just keep coming because they make me feel so GOOD!
I attended an allergy talk by the Drs. Dubner at the Saratoga YMCA late July of 2005. Before starting care with the Dubners, I had pain in my left shoulder which radiated to my arm and hand which I’ve had for about a year and a half and was progressively getting worse. It was so painful and numb that sometimes I couldn’t sleep at night. I also had trouble losing weight even though I exercised on a daily basis. I had been diagnosed with a thyroid problem 17 years ago. My thyroid problem would make my face and ankles constantly puffy, now, there is no more puffiness. Additionally, I had a lot of asthma-related symptoms including bronchitis. Last winter, I was on Prednisone and antibiotics constantly. This winter, so far so good. No bronchitis and no medications. I have been receiving care from Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon for almost 5 months now and I feel much better than I have in years!! My shoulder pain is completely gone! I no longer have pain radiating down my arm and hand when doing an activity! I’ve lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks! I have no more asthma symptoms so I have stopped using my inhalers almost completely and no Prednisone and antibiotics! No more bronchitis! On top of all that, I don’t feel tired all the time like I used to. I’d like to thank the doctors and their staff. They are very helpful and kind. I think people who are still in debate or unsure should give the Dubners a try. For those who are starting out should stick it out for at least 4-6 months to allow enough time for their own results.
I have been coming to the Dubners’ for 3 months and in that short time I have been able to rid myself of lower back pain, allergies, and sugar cravings! I know it sounds impossible; I was skeptical too when I first came to their office. I had already tried so many different doctors! I went to an allergist, acupuncturist, other chiropractors, and a physical therapist. Nothing worked! Thanks to Dr. Allen’s and Dr. Sharon’s approach I am a changed woman! I used to have to take Allegra, Claritin, and Flonase for my allergies’ but not anymore! I had lower back pain from a car accident I was in 20 years ago, and now it’s significantly reduced! I used to have intense sugar cravings, and now they are gone! Additionally, my eternally cold hands have finally warmed up! My results have been so amazing that I would recommend this work to ANYONE!
