Before coming to Dubner Chiropractic, I thought I was dying. I had been suffering about four years from migraines, low back pain, severe fatigue and intense sugar cravings. Whenever I went outside, the headaches would get worse. At times, the fatigue was intense to the point of momentary unconsciousness. I was so forgetful, which I felt terrible about. I could not even walk for ten minutes because of swollen feet, legs, shoulder and back pain. I had to rely on my husband to run all of our errands. I fell asleep at night with tears in my eyes because of the pain in my low back.
Within four weeks of starting care, I could feel more energy flowing through me, and I knew I could trust these doctors. I decided to do the Health Rejuvenation Food Plan right away. It helped reduce the sugar cravings. The food tips and suggestions they gave me made it easy, and now I follow a new way of eating daily, which has made a huge difference in how I feel. Within one short month, my periods went from being totally miserable for 3 – 5 days to not bad and that is great! I now run errands all day without throwing up or having migraines. I can walk for thirty to forty minutes at a time with no swollen feet and legs, and no low back pain. My posture has improved and I’m standing taller than ever before. I’ve been under the care of Allen and Sharon Dubner for about two and a half years. My problems mostly concerned upper neck and shoulder pain, accompanied by excruciating headaches. When I became pregnant with twins last June, I made certain I saw Allen at least once a week; in the last couple of months (3rd trimester), I stepped that up to 3 visits per week whenever possible. What a difference this has made in my pregnancy! I have only had one or two headaches – - lasting only briefly – - during my whole pregnancy, with a minimum of spinal distress given the weight of the pregnancy.
When I began Hormone Replacement Therapy 15 years ago, I developed fibrocystic breast. I visited my M.D. and a Surgeon regarding my fibrocystic breast and the only treatment option they could offer me was having the cysts aspirated. I would have to have the cysts aspirated every six months for 15 years! When I first heard the Dubner’s at a lecture on “Balancing Hormones Naturally”, I thought I should give them a try. Since I have been receiving treatments, my results have been amazing and dramatic! I can always tell that changes are happening in my body just a few hours after treatment. My cysts have decreased and I don’t feel the same pain and discomfort that I had in the past.
I first heard about the Dubners through a Thyroid talk they were presenting at the Y, and I was really interested because I have a Thyroid problem. My Thyroid problem was mild for awhile and I was seeing a General Practitioner, but became worse when I accidentally overdosed on my Thyroid medication for a month. After a while, my medication had to be increased because my body got used to the dosage and it made me jittery. Along with my Thyroid problem, I had hot flashes, thin fingernails, and I was always tired. I also had trouble falling back to sleep when I would wake up in the middle of the night. On top of all that, because my knees ached, I had a lot trouble getting up after sitting down on a chair. I needed people to help me get up since I wasn’t able to do it on my own.
During the first four months of receiving care from Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon, I was able to cut my medications in half, my nails are stronger, I sleep better at night, and my hot flashes are completely gone!! Additionally, my knees are greatly improved and I am now able to get up on my own after I sit down on a chair!!

I first found out about Dubner Chiropractic from a talk that Drs. Dubner did at Stanford back in May 2004. For two years before coming in to see the Dubners, I had been experiencing pain from osteoarthritis and my energy level was low, especially in the evening, which I thought was due to my sleep apnea. In the last two months since I began seeing the Dubners, my energy level has skyrocketed and the pain from my osteoarthritis is almost gone. Not even a year later, I’ve noticed that my fingernails are much stronger and I know it’s because of the treatments I’ve been receiving from the Doctors, because all my life I’ve had brittle nails that had extremely slow growth that never grew past the tip of my nail bed. Any growth I did have would splinter and then break off. I’ve never tried to get them treated, but I was always frustrated about them. I always thought it was from a lack of calcium, but I found out from Dr. Allen that a weak thyroid was to blame. Now they don’t break and I actually have long nails!
