My son William has been suffering from allergy related eczema since he was 2 months old that left him itchy and with full body rash at times. His wrists and legs were often bloody from scratching. Sleeping through the night was nearly impossible. We had tried everything to help him overcome his symptoms. We tried Chinese herbal treatments, homeopathic treatments, steroids and sulfide. These methods sometimes masked the symptoms but they always returned worse than before.

He is now able to eat more variety of foods and is on his way to a full recovery!

I’ve also suffered from severe dust/pollen/grass allergies for approximately 25 years. I had been on the 7 year (allergen) shot therapy which is supposed to make you allergy free after the 7 years. However, I was still on it after 17 years. The shots had made no difference, I still suffered with allergies. I also drank a 12-pack, 18-pack, or a 24-pack of beer every weekend. I had no intention of quitting and did not come here because of it.

It has now been about 4 months and I am astonished at what changes have taken place not only in my health but also in my life. I quit the allergy shots when I started coming to see the Dubners. I haven’t taken any meds and haven’t had any allergy attacks since starting care. My drinking is what baffles me the most. After 2-3 months of chiropractic care, I quit drinking. I did not even realize I had a problem and hadn’t even told Doctor Dubner about it. After I quit, my family told me about what a problem it was. I don’t have any desire to drink any alcohol and I don’t think I’ll ever start drinking again. I’m very grateful and still really surprised by this. I would also like to add that the office staff is very friendly and helpful.

It was only until 1996 when a friend referred me, my life changed when I first walked through the door of the Dubner Family Chiropractic office.  Gentle chiropractic adjustments were administered and in my 41 years, I have never felt such an increase of energy and vitality. I have almost lost total pain from my TMJ and my ongoing battle with chronic neck and back pain is no longer a battle for me.

When I came to the Dubners in September 2009, I had a history of grinding my teeth for seven years or more, severe headaches that had been particularly bad the past year and constipation since well before college.  I had seen my general practitioner for treatment of the headaches and a nasal spray was recommended.  I used it a few times, but did not like the idea of taking medication every time I had a headache.  I wanted a natural alternative for my body.  I also ate a lot of fiber and drank tea to try and control my constipation. 

After I started seeing the Dubners, I stopped grinding my teeth!  I no longer wake up in the middle of the night in terrible pain!  My headaches are much less frequent and also much less painful!  I’m also regular now for the first time in years!  My mental state is more even.  I am calmer, handle stressful situations better and sleep through the night more often!

I am amazed at how fast I saw results!  I am very impressed with Dr. Sharon’s amazing ability to determine what is out of balance in my body.  I had never seen that technique used before.  My two children now come here for asthma and posture.  I have and will continue to recommend Dubner Chiropractic to friends and family!

For ten years, I had battled chronic heartburn.  It kept me up at night with considerable discomfort and could even be a problem during the day.  Although particular foods certainly aggravated it, I couldn’t seem to control it with diet.  It got to the point I finally sought out a specialist.  He made no inquiries into my diet, besides telling me to avoid anything particularly problematic and prescribed medication.  On the extra strength meds, I still had to take two pills every day, with no relief in site.  I was a slave to the medication.  I had to make sure I took it with me everywhere I went or face potential pain until I could take some.  Even though the pills did help, they didn’t completely alleviate the pain and certainly didn’t solve the original problem!

            In addition to the heartburn, I had suffered from chronic illnesses since I was a child.  Strep throat in particular was a recurring problem.  I would be very sick several times a year and missed a lot of school.  As I got older, I continued to catch everything and anything that was going around.  It was normal for me to miss a couple or even a few weeks of school or work in a year.  I was frequently prescribed antibiotics, which the doctors had to keep changing.

            Within two weeks of being treated by Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon, my heartburn disappeared!  After years of struggling with it, I was finally symptom free!  It was a relief that I didn’t have to carry medication with me everywhere I went.  Even more amazing is the fact that I haven’t been sick in the eleven months since starting care with the Dubners! 

            The treatments at Dubner Family Chiropractic are like nothing I have experienced before.  There are no cracking sounds or forceful movements at the Dubner office, as you may experience at some other chiropractors.  Their special adjustments are totally gentle!

When I came to the Dubners in March of 2009, I had a history of sleep problems.  Due to stress and anxiety, I had difficulty falling asleep and had been taking Ambien for 15 years!  Within two weeks after starting with the Dubners, I felt tired enough one night to try and fall asleep without the use of medication.  I fell right to sleep!  It was amazing!  The next night, I was sleepy and again decided to skip the drug. Again, I fell right to sleep and have been Ambien-free ever since.  In addition, my quality of sleep has greatly improved.

I also suffered from uncontrollable sugar cravings for many years.  I had to have sugar after every meal and had chocolate on a daily basis, which made my blood sugar spike.  Later I would crash and have terrible headaches.  My energy was erratic throughout the day and I had to rest for a couple hours everyday after work, before I could even make dinner.  Dr. Sharon started me on the Health Rejuvenation Program and my sugar cravings disappeared!  Within the first two weeks, I was able to attend three birthday parties and an Easter celebration without having any sugar!  Upon recommendation, I have also made some other dietary changes.  I now eat lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and ‘good’ fats with every meal.  My energy level stabilized, my mental focus is better, and the headaches disappeared!  Thanks to the Dubners, I am also totally off chocolate!

My son started having allergies when he was 4 years old.  His symptoms were sneezing, itchy, runny nose and nasal congestion.  If left untreated, it would result in an ear infection or upper respiratory infection.  He was on antibiotics every 2 months and also on steroid nasal spray for prevention of the symptoms. 

Then we heard about Dr. Sharon and started treatment with her.  After 3 months of the treatment, we were able to stop using all antibiotics and the nasal spray.  My son was feeling much better because of the treatments and special diet.  He is much better and we would like to thank Dr. Sharon for her work!

I would recommend anyone with allergies to get treatment from Dr. Sharon!  Also, one needs to have patience and allow time for the treatments to work to see the positive improvement.

I originally started coming to Dubner Chiropractic in 2004 to alleviate hip pain, which Dr. Allen successfully treated.  One of the motivating reasons for correcting my hip problem was that we were planning on having children in the future. 

We had our first child in 2006.  It was a relatively easy pregnancy because I saw Dr. Allen from the start of the pregnancy and continued to see him after.  I believe chiropractic care is especially important during pregnancy because a woman’s hips are expanding so rapidly.  Regular visits helped my body adjust to the changes.  My midwife also highly recommended chiropractic care to help keep the baby in the correct position. 

My second pregnancy was more difficult than my first.  I had morning sickness, indigestion and more stomach irritation in general, but that cleared after only one week of visits!  I also suffered from more sinus pressure, restless leg syndrome and headaches, but I didn’t want to take medication, so chiropractic care was a great, drug-free alternative.  Dr. Allen cleared it all up! 

During the second trimester, my hips began spreading very fast.  Dr. Allen was able to show me stretches to alleviate the pain.  The totally gentle methods of Dr. Allen allowed me to be treated during the full course of my pregnancy.  The regular visits also resulted in natural births (no drugs) for both pregnancies. 

After my first pregnancy, I was told I would never fit back into my old jeans again because of the spreading of the hips, but Dr. Allen said I would.  I was ecstatic to be able to wear mine after only 8 weeks!  Now, only two weeks after my second pregnancy, I can feel my hips moving back into place already and I am continuing postpartum care.  I believe chiropractic care is especially important before, during and even after your pregnancy.  It helps your body stay in shape!
