San Jose Chiropractic Patient Allergy, Cough, Low Back Pain, Neck Pain, Sleep Issues, Fatigue and Mood Helped by Cupertino Chiropractor

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2017

I came into the Dubners’ office at the urging of my family. They had grown concerned about my health as I often had a cough that produced phlegm and left me unable to lie down. Each night I would sleep in my living room chair, which left me with a stiff, painful neck and back. I have had Congestive Heart Failure on and off for the last few years and when I mentioned to my Nephrologist, Cardiologist, and Primary Care Physician they all did not know the cause of my coughing and suggested I take allergy medicine because my heart was fine. The allergy medicine was only a temporary fix and the cough always came back.

Since visiting the Dubners’ I can now stand up straighter, my head is up higher and I have even forgotten to use my cane a few times. I feel like I can move around easier and have even been doing lite exercise. I was impressed with how quickly my cough and the phlegm were eliminated, which helps me sleep better at night. My family members have noticed my health improvements and say I am less crabby and I chat more with them because I have the energy to do so. Following the food recommendations from Dr. Sharon has really helped me see the connection between what I eat and how it affects my health.

From my experience in their office, I would recommend this care to others because it is a unique, welcoming, and comfortable environment. I felt very relaxed and at ease with Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon’s gentle Chiropractic Care.

San Mateo Patient: Neck Pain, Shoulder Pain, Arm Pain, Hand Pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Digestive Problems, Allergies, Fatigue Success Story at Cupertino Chiropractor

Wednesday, June 12th, 2013

When I first came to the Dubners, I had been suffering from terrible inflammation and debilitating chronic pain all over my upper body: neck, shoulders, wrists, and joints of the fingers. My red blood count was low (anemia), and I would feel cold all over. Doctors had diagnosed it about 6 months earlier as Rheumatoid Arthritis. Until that point in my life, I had been mostly healthy, and had tremendous confidence in the western medical system. After seeing several expert doctors from UCSF, PAMF, etc., the only thing I learned was that I would have this condition for the rest of my life, and they might be able to control it by administering various cocktails of drugs (which sounded like poisons to me based on their side effects). I did a lot of reading, and increasingly it became clear to me that medicine was mostly flying blind (for example, one of the drugs they prescribed was Plaquenil, which was originally an anti-malaria drug until someone discovered that it helped some patients with RA). Or, with some of the newer drugs (biologics), they were trying to address the symptoms (trying to bring immune factors in blood into a normal range), rather than the cause (why were those immune factors off-kilter in the first place?). In computer science (in which I hold a PhD), we call such band aid solutions “hacks”, and they are almost always a terrible way to fix a problem. My confidence in the system was shattered; I refused to take the drugs, and sought out other approaches. I went on a water-only fast, changed my diet, and was already noticing small improvements; this was when I heard the Dubners talk at a bookstore and decided to give their approach a try. I was highly skeptical of their approach at first, but decided to stick to it, and am so glad I did. Not only have I been completely cured of RA, but several other conditions I had also resolved themselves: digestion problems, allergies, fatigue, etc. What I’ve come to realize is that what you eat and how you live your life is of paramount importance to maintaining your health, and the Dubners can guide you along the right path which is specific to you as an individual. I am now also a believer in the network chiropractic idea that disturbances to the nerves emanating from the spine can cause disease. Disease can also be caused by the subconscious brain not doing the right thing: this would explain why the placebo effect is so strong for so many diseases. After all, most computer bugs end up being problems with the software and very rarely with the hardware, so why would the same not apply to the human body? So it’s important for the subconscious brain to “think” that everything is going right with the body, and for that to happen, it helps to have a “healer” rather than a “doctor”: someone who works with you, is interested in you, and cares for you. I have no doubt that the Dubners are amongst the best healers out there, and I’ve been so lucky to have found them.

Shoulder Pain, Neck Pain, Jaw Pain, Hip Pain, Weight Loss, Allergies, Skin Problems, Cold Hands and Feet, Memory and Stress Success Stories at Cupertino Chiropractor Office

Monday, April 22nd, 2013

I was referred to Dr. Allen at Dubner Chiropractic by a family member after an auto accident in February. My car had been totaled. I had pain in my shoulder, neck, jaw and hip. After one month of gentle adjustments by Dr. Allen, the pain from the auto accident is practically non-existent. Physically, I feel better than ever!

In addition to the chiropractic treatments, I also chose to see Dr. Sharon for weight and skin issues related to food allergies, problems I had dealt with my entire life. I had been looking for a place like this, where I could be tested for food allergies and educated about what kinds of foods are best for me, for as long as I can remember. With the acupressure treatments Dr. Sharon and I also addressed the coldness I had in my hands and feet. The results are amazing! Within 3 weeks of treatments and doing the recommended food plan from Dr. Sharon, the redness in my face cleared and the coldness in my hands and feet is now only 50% of the time instead of all the time. The inflammation I didn’t realize that I had in my body is now gone as well, as indicated by the loss of 4 inches at my waistline.

Within a month of seeing the Drs. Dubner, I am doing great! My memory is improving daily with the new food changes. I feel calmer. I’m drinking water on a regular basis. Now that my body is feeling good, I’ve been doing things that I had wanted to do for a long time, like spending more time outdoors and hiking. I’m no longer holding back in my life. People are complimenting me on how good my skin looks, and telling me that I look beautiful. I feel like I can go anywhere and do anything.

I highly recommend this practice to anyone, especially women. The office environment is safe and rejuvenating. It feels like I’m getting treated just by being here. If you are already curious, are drawn toward alternative medicine, or simply need to try something different, just get here!

Fremont Eczema Skin Problem, Keratosis Pilaris Success Story at Cupertino Chiropractic

Monday, September 24th, 2012

I have been suffering with severe eczema since I was 2 months old. My skin gets red and dry because of it. About three years ago I was diagnosed with KP (Keratosis Pilaris), which is related to eczema. The KP caused bumps that covered my forearms and legs. Before coming to Dubner Chiropractic, I had only been prescribed steroid creams by medical doctors for my skin conditions. They didn’t work. Since being treated by the Dubners for six weeks, the KP bumps are about 60% gone, and overall my skin is less dry. Yesterday, for the first time in years, I wore a short-sleeved shirt in public. It’s like a miracle! I feel much more comfortable in my skin now. I love coming to the office. The office staff is so friendly, and I feel like everyone there actually wants me to get relief from these conditions. I recommend this care to others because it can only get better!

Milpitas Chiropractic Patient: Back Pain, Allergies, Athlete’s Foot, Stress Success Stories at Cupertino Chiropractor Office

Wednesday, July 25th, 2012

I’ve been coming to Dubner Chiropractic for 2 ½ months. Before I came, I thought I was as healthy as one can be, but I was about to find out otherwise. In that short amount of time, I am happy to report that I am feeling even healthier than when I originally came in. What brought me to Dubner Chiropractic was exercise-induced back pain. I had heard about Network Chiropractic and was happy to find a practitioner in the area. Dr. Allen’s gentle adjustments have helped my whole body to feel better after just a few sessions. What I hadn’t anticipated when coming to this office was working with Dr. Sharon, receiving her gentle acupressure treatments for my allergies. The allergies had started around 8 years old. When I had allergy testing done on my back, I was allergic to almost every type of mold, dust, pollen, flower, tree, grass, weed, and animal dander. I had seen multiple doctors in both China and the U.S. for these symptoms. They prescribed medications, nasal sprays, and even shots, none of which completely alleviated my symptoms. The moment I stopped with the prescriptions, my allergies would return, and even with the meds, I couldn’t breathe through my nose.  I am happy to report that after 1 ½ months of treatment, I am now able to breathe through my nose for the first time since I was a kid. My family and friends are amazed! Another unexpected improvement was in the case of long-term athlete’s foot of 14 years. Over the years, I had seen dermatologists who prescribed creams, which worked, but only as long as I was using them. Recently I resisted the urge to use the cream when the familiar symptoms crept up. At that time I was on the 2 Week Food Plan to strengthen my immune system. Without any cream the symptoms disappeared and have not returned since. I have also noticed that I am able to adapt easier to the stresses of daily life, and am more flexible in my thoughts and attitudes. Coming to Dubner Chiropractic has been amazing. The adjustments are so refreshing, as are the Dubners’ sense of humor. Even though I was already very healthy and active, I did not realize how much improvement I could have beyond that – and THAT is what I want for others. I have recommended this care to my wife, friends and parents, and continue to encourage others to visit Dubner Family Chiropractic Center.

Child from Sunnyvale, allergy, ear infections, respiratory infection success story at Cupertino Chiropractic

My son started having allergies when he was 4 years old.  His symptoms were sneezing, itchy, runny nose and nasal congestion.  If left untreated, it would result in an ear infection or upper respiratory infection.  He was on antibiotics every 2 months and also on steroid nasal spray for prevention of the symptoms.
