In English:

In Spanish:

My symptoms started in December of 2016 and I was diagnosed in January by my medical doctor with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had severe symptoms that left me barely able to walk, trouble using my hands, I could not sleep and had pain that radiated throughout my body and was especially bad in my shoulders, neck, knees and feet. My medical doctor gave me a prescription for a medication that would help with these symptoms. However, I did not want to take it as I had seen the effect it had on my sisters who also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and did not want to have that experience.

I was not sure what I was going to do since the pain was bad and I felt like I was out of options. It was at this point my son told me to go see the Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon as he knew they could help me. We had been patients seven years before. My son had been five years old at the time and he had remembered how great the help was that we received.

I am glad I listened to my son because in less than two months the pain in my shoulders, neck, hands, knees, and feet has greatly decreased. I am sleeping again which helps me have more energy to do regular activities. I am back to my day to day life and can cook, walk, and spend time with my family. I feel more positive, motivated, and better able to handle stress.

I have been surprised at how much better I have felt so quickly. Beyond just listening to the doctor’s recommendations and receiving treatments and following the Food Plan, I have learned how to make the best food choices for my body, which has helped to aid it in minimizing the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I feel as though my body is healing itself.

I am very grateful for Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon and the work they do. It has helped me be more conscious and take responsibility for my health and the choices I am making each day, especially when it comes to food. It can be a challenging process, but I know I am doing what is right for my body.

I had been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 4 years before I started working for Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon. I had been a runner having done multiple marathon and half marathons, but the rheumatologist told me I would never run again. I was on a plethora of medications which included:  methotrexate, neuronton, Mobic, folic acid, Elavil, levaquin, and twice weekly injections of Enbrel. The side effects were unknown to me but my body clearly did not appreciate what I was doing. I developed kidney stones and the rheumatologist was constantly monitoring my liver function because those drugs can really harm your liver!

I went on the offensive and decided to take control of my health!  I went on the Dubner Chiropractic Health Rejuvenation Food program and then worked with Dr. Sharon as often as I could. But…it was a slow, slow process! I continued to be monitored by my rheumatologist but I told him I eventually wanted to stop taking the drugs. Ever so slowly, I weaned myself off of all my medications. It took me well over 1 1/l2 years to get off all my medications. It has been 7 ½ years, I’m symptom free and on zero medications! I have even run some 10k’s and half marathons!!

I am writing this because I believe in the work that Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon do. I have personally seen so many people healed and back on track living their lives fully and abundantly! They truly are great healers who believe in the body’s ability to heal itself.

Thank you Dr. Allen and Dr. Sharon for leading me on the pathway to health!

When I first came to the Dubners, I had been suffering from terrible inflammation and debilitating chronic pain all over my upper body: neck, shoulders, wrists, and joints of the fingers. My red blood count was low (anemia), and I would feel cold all over. Doctors had diagnosed it about 6 months earlier as Rheumatoid Arthritis. Until that point in my life, I had been mostly healthy, and had tremendous confidence in the western medical system. After seeing several expert doctors from UCSF, PAMF, etc., the only thing I learned was that I would have this condition for the rest of my life, and they might be able to control it by administering various cocktails of drugs (which sounded like poisons to me based on their side effects). I did a lot of reading, and increasingly it became clear to me that medicine was mostly flying blind (for example, one of the drugs they prescribed was Plaquenil, which was originally an anti-malaria drug until someone discovered that it helped some patients with RA). Or, with some of the newer drugs (biologics), they were trying to address the symptoms (trying to bring immune factors in blood into a normal range), rather than the cause (why were those immune factors off-kilter in the first place?). In computer science (in which I hold a PhD), we call such band aid solutions “hacks”, and they are almost always a terrible way to fix a problem. My confidence in the system was shattered; I refused to take the drugs, and sought out other approaches. I went on a water-only fast, changed my diet, and was already noticing small improvements; this was when I heard the Dubners talk at a bookstore and decided to give their approach a try. I was highly skeptical of their approach at first, but decided to stick to it, and am so glad I did. Not only have I been completely cured of RA, but several other conditions I had also resolved themselves: digestion problems, allergies, fatigue, etc. What I’ve come to realize is that what you eat and how you live your life is of paramount importance to maintaining your health, and the Dubners can guide you along the right path which is specific to you as an individual. I am now also a believer in the network chiropractic idea that disturbances to the nerves emanating from the spine can cause disease. Disease can also be caused by the subconscious brain not doing the right thing: this would explain why the placebo effect is so strong for so many diseases. After all, most computer bugs end up being problems with the software and very rarely with the hardware, so why would the same not apply to the human body? So it’s important for the subconscious brain to “think” that everything is going right with the body, and for that to happen, it helps to have a “healer” rather than a “doctor”: someone who works with you, is interested in you, and cares for you. I have no doubt that the Dubners are amongst the best healers out there, and I’ve been so lucky to have found them.

Chiropractic Patient from Cupertino: Arthritis, Hand Pain, Leg Pain, Back Pain Success Story at Cupertino Chiropractor

What brought me to Dubner Chiropractic was the extreme pain in my hands, legs, and most of my joints due to my rheumatoid arthritis. It got to the point where it was so severe in the winter time, I could not go outside. I went to see a doctor who specialized in rheumatoid arthritis and he prescribed me numerous heavy drugs with tons of side affects. I was taking up to 30 pills a day. I wanted to stop taking the drugs so it would not cause any permanent damage to my body. After 3 months of care with Dr. Sharon and Dr. Allen, my pain is almost completely gone, and I am no longer on any medications. My emotional state is much more balanced, and I no longer have to stress about the pain I was having. I was so amazed when the pain went away; I have so much more energy and am happier all around. The doctors are so loving and caring with their patients; I would definitely recommend this care to everyone.

Chiropractic Patient from Sunnyvale: Back Pain, Weight, Sinus, Insomnia, Fatigue, Arthritis, Stress Success Story at Cupertino Chiropractor

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

I feel like I have a new lease on life. For more than 25 years, I lived with fatigue, overwhelm, back pain, widespread muscle and joint pain, sinus problems, insomnia, brain fog and depression. Year by year, the symptoms increased and my weight increased right along with them. There were mornings that I couldn’t touch a place on my body that did not hurt.

In the past 7 months since I have been seeing the Dubners, things have changed dramatically. My energy level is amazingly improved. I have lost over 30 pounds, and the pain is significantly reduced and continues to decrease. I am off all medications. It is an ongoing process of peeling off the layers it seems. As each new layer is revealed, I feel like I am rediscovering myself. I am standing up straighter and taller both physically and emotionally. It is comfortable to live in this body for the first time in more years than I count. I have the energy and the focus to get things done. I have learned how to play. There is a bounce in my step, flexibility and ease in my movements, and a newfound joy and contentment. It is so good to be smiling again.

Thank you Dr. Sharon and Dr. Allen,
