I came to the Dubners after dealing with chronic nightly heartburn for 8 – 10 years. Previously, I had visited a doctor who performed an orthoscopic procedure on me. The procedure revealed that I had a loose valve, for which the medical doctor recommended surgery as the only way to fix the heartburn issues. Surgery was not an appealing option for me, so instead I took Pepcid nightly to bring down the heartburn – until I found the Dubners.

Since visiting Dubner Chiropractic, I have had so many improvements! I have now been heartburn free for 8 months! I threw out all of my antacids. Dr. Sharon helped me beat my caffeine and sugar addictions that were the major causes of the heartburn I had been suffering with. I’m now sleeping better. I have more energy and clarity, and I eat much better. With all of my improvements I have a more positive outlook on life. I was very impressed with Dr. Sharon’s muscle testing. I love coming into the office and being greeted by their friendly staff. I am so happy that with the Dubners’ help, I’ve been able to avoid surgery. I tell everyone about my experience with Dubner Chiropractic because I have had nothing but positive results!

San Mateo Patient: Neck Pain, Shoulder Pain, Arm Pain, Hand Pain, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Digestive Problems, Allergies, Fatigue Success Story at Cupertino Chiropractor

When I first came to the Dubners, I had been suffering from terrible inflammation and debilitating chronic pain all over my upper body: neck, shoulders, wrists, and joints of the fingers. My red blood count was low (anemia), and I would feel cold all over. Doctors had diagnosed it about 6 months earlier as Rheumatoid Arthritis. Until that point in my life, I had been mostly healthy, and had tremendous confidence in the western medical system. After seeing several expert doctors from UCSF, PAMF, etc., the only thing I learned was that I would have this condition for the rest of my life, and they might be able to control it by administering various cocktails of drugs (which sounded like poisons to me based on their side effects). I did a lot of reading, and increasingly it became clear to me that medicine was mostly flying blind (for example, one of the drugs they prescribed was Plaquenil, which was originally an anti-malaria drug until someone discovered that it helped some patients with RA). Or, with some of the newer drugs (biologics), they were trying to address the symptoms (trying to bring immune factors in blood into a normal range), rather than the cause (why were those immune factors off-kilter in the first place?). In computer science (in which I hold a PhD), we call such band aid solutions “hacks”, and they are almost always a terrible way to fix a problem. My confidence in the system was shattered; I refused to take the drugs, and sought out other approaches. I went on a water-only fast, changed my diet, and was already noticing small improvements; this was when I heard the Dubners talk at a bookstore and decided to give their approach a try. I was highly skeptical of their approach at first, but decided to stick to it, and am so glad I did. Not only have I been completely cured of RA, but several other conditions I had also resolved themselves: digestion problems, allergies, fatigue, etc. What I’ve come to realize is that what you eat and how you live your life is of paramount importance to maintaining your health, and the Dubners can guide you along the right path which is specific to you as an individual. I am now also a believer in the network chiropractic idea that disturbances to the nerves emanating from the spine can cause disease. Disease can also be caused by the subconscious brain not doing the right thing: this would explain why the placebo effect is so strong for so many diseases. After all, most computer bugs end up being problems with the software and very rarely with the hardware, so why would the same not apply to the human body? So it’s important for the subconscious brain to “think” that everything is going right with the body, and for that to happen, it helps to have a “healer” rather than a “doctor”: someone who works with you, is interested in you, and cares for you. I have no doubt that the Dubners are amongst the best healers out there, and I’ve been so lucky to have found them.

Chiropractic Patient from Sunnyvale: Headache, Lupus, Digestive Problems and Stress Success Stories at Cupertino Chiropractor

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

When I was 21, I was diagnosed with a mild case of Lupus. The medical doctor had prescribed Plaquenil to treat it. At first I didn’t notice any side-effects from taking the drug. However, when I went to get an eye exam, the ophthalmologist noticed deposits developing in my eyes from the Plaquenil. That was not good. I had already been struggling with severe headaches (including migraines), IBS, fatigue, bloating, sore joints, constipation and diarrhea.

At 30, I was diagnosed with severe Celiac disease. That’s when I came to see the Dubners. When I first started treatments with Dr. Sharon, I was skeptical. It didn’t seem like what she did would actually help with any of my symptoms. With the encouragement of my husband, however, I continued coming in for treatments and began feeling better quickly. I was able to get off all meds within six months! When I decided to do the health rejuvenation program, I had so much more energy and clarity than before. It was amazing! The treatments I received helped relieve my stress.

These days I am less stressed, I feel more balanced, and I rarely ever have headaches! I’ve been a long-time patient at Dubner Chiropractic and I highly recommend others to come in and be well-treated.

Patient from Saratoga: Blood Pressure, Menopause, Digestion, Sleep, Restless Leg Syndrome Success at Cupertino Chiropractor

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

I first met the Dubners at the Los Gatos Chiropractic talks on sugar balance and sleep problems.

I had sleep problems that were worsened by my restless leg syndrome. I was taking High Blood pressure medication. I wasn’t exercising and wasn’t losing weight. I had menopause symptoms including horrible bloating. And my medical Doctor put me on Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Since seeing the Drs. Dubners, I am no longer taking hormones for menopause and the symptoms are gone (even the bloating). I’m sleeping much better at night and my restless leg syndrome symptoms are gone. I haven’t had a soda in 4 months. I started to walk again and I am slowly increasing my walking time. I have been able to bring my blood pressure down. But the BEST thing of all is that I lost 11 lbs without even trying!

I have referred the care here at Dubner Family Chiropractic to lots of my friends. I now have a very positive outlook. I just can’t believe the results that I have had in just 4 months. I feel healthier and younger!
